FAQ

  • How long does delivery take?

    One ordered, we will be in contact and arrange a slot convenient for yourself - we aim to deliver less than 5 working days off peak, 10-21 days on peak,.

  • What wood do you use?

    The vast majority of our seasoned wood is Ash, with the odd Beach, Oak, Silver Birch and Cherry. The off cuts & kindling are all from the workshop from our sister company, which consist of softwoods.

  • Do you collect wood/do tree surgery?

    Yes, this is a service we provide - please contact the email address provided.

  • Is your tonne bag, an actual tonne?

    No, the total weight of a full tonne bag/bulk bag/dumpy bag/builders bag is usally 400-500kgs. Which is 0.6/7m3 when loose and 0.5m3 when stacked.

  • Do you do stacking?

    Yes, all deliveries come with free stacking, unless you request not to or order nets.

  • What is the moisture content of your wood?

    Our seasoned wood is between 15-20% and our kiln dried is around 12-15% (but actually reads 5%+/-

Trading since 2018, Olive Firewood Co was previously known as Hk-Firewood. Not only did HK distribute firewood across the south to consumers and businesses, but it also provided Land Management. Matter of fact, thats how that company was started, when looking after Orchards, Woodlands, Gardens and general land, instead of disposing of the timber from the arbitrary work or sending it to a biomass site, we would split it down and get it ready for distribution. Starting off local, to then supplying multiple counties, companies and even TV shows!
